Mitt Romney Endorses Meat Loaf

RomneyBoth presidential candidates have received celebrity endorsements during their campaigns and now Republican candidate Mitt Romney has made an endorsement of his own; for the dinnertime delight, Meat Loaf.

Romney made the endorsement at a rally in Ohio. When asked by a reporter what his favorite meal was, he said, “I like meat loaf. Not only is it delicious but the cattle industry employs tens of thousands of Americans. I love America so obviously I also love meat loaf.”

After Romney’s endorsement, Democratic contender President Barack Obama was asked what food he endorses. He told reporters, “I agree with my wife Michelle that nutrition is vitally important for kids growing up today. So any fruit or vegetable gets my nod of approval.”

Obama’s endorsement received lots of support from parents and teachers and Mitt Romney’s meaty dish was criticized for increasing obesity in America. When reporters asked Romney if he still endorses meat loaf, he said, “I’ve never endorsed meat loaf. It’s not only full of fat but it also has a rather bland taste. If I had to endorse a food, it would definitely be either carrots or broccoli. Not meat loaf. I’ve always hated meat loaf.” Romney gained a slight lead in the polls after his heartfelt endorsement of the healthy snack.

Mitt Romney to Dress as Barack Obama for Halloween

During an interview on Fox News, presidential Republican candidate Mitt Romney told Gretchen Carlson that for Halloween, he was planning to dress as rival candidate, President Barack Obama. He told Carlson that he was dressing as the President because he wanted to dress as something really scary.

Upon hearing the news, Obama’s running-mate Joe Biden was a bit disappointed. “I’m also planning to go as Barack. I guess we’ll just see who can pull off black-face better!” He added, “Don’t tell Barack… I want my costume to be a surprise. He’s going to get a huge kick out of it!”

Biden may be keeping his costume plans a surprise for the President but Romney’s announcement was very public. The President laughed when he heard the news and told MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough, “If Romney wants to dress as the winner of the 2012 presidential race, that’s surely his prerogative.”

Scarborough asked the President who he was planning to dress as for Halloween. Smiling, he said, “I will be tying our dog Bo to the top of my campaign bus on Halloween night. Why don’t you take a wild guess as to who I’m dressing up as?”

Romney: A Vote for Obama is a Vote Against Breaking Bad

Romney and ObamaAs Mitt Romney slides in the polls, he has changed the political narrative from the economy to popular TV shows. This morning, the Republican leader told customers at an Arizona IHOP that if Barack Obama is reelected, TV shows like Breaking Bad might never make it to the air.

The popular AMC TV show “Breaking Bad” follows physics teacher Walter White, who is diagnosed with cancer. When his healthcare bill isn’t covered, he turns to a life of selling meth. Romney told the crowd that had Obama been President at the time “Breaking Bad” was created, Walter’s hospital bills would have been covered by Obamacare. “There would be no need for Walter to turn to crime since his bills would be covered and the show we all love would never have existed!” Romney went on to suggest some potentially fantastic TV shows may never be created due to Obama’s failed policies.

Obama didn’t take this suggestion lying down. The President responded by saying, “Romney is obviously not a real fan of the show. Otherwise, he would know that Walter White didn’t just turn to a life of crime to pay his hospital bills but also to raise money for his family in case he succumbed to the cancer. So saying my health care plan would have killed ‘Breaking Bad’ is ridiculous. Nice try Mitt, but the American people are smarter than you think. I guarantee that if I’m reelected, there will no shortage of terrific TV shows created.”

After hearing the President’s response, Romney, took the fight a step further. “It’s funny hearing the President say his policy wouldn’t affect great TV shows from being created. This is a President that supports abortion. If he was president in the late 60s, the mother of the ‘Breaking Bad’ creator, Vince Gilligan, could Read the rest of this entry »
